The Advanced Open Water program is designed
to introduce both novice and intermediate divers to new underwater experiences.
The academic portion of the Advanced Open water course is designed for
self-study using the PADI Advanced Open Water Pak at $42.95.
The Open Water component can
be completed over a two day period, and may be done at the
Homestead Crater (See Open Water Training Schedule) for
$250, or locally (June-September) for $150.
The Advanced Open Water
can be started as soon as you finish your open water certification. It is a program that lets you do what interests you. There are two
"core" dives that are required, a deep dive and an underwater navigation dive.
Then you pick three "elective" dives which could include:
altitude dive |
boat dive |
underwater naturalist

enriched air dive |
night dive |
dry suit dive |
multilevel dive |

buoyancy dive |
drift dive |
wreck dive |
underwater photography

*Note: some dives not available
through Scuba Colorado, locally or at the Blue Hole, due to lack of
resources.
